Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions across local, regional, and OTR routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
• Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while managing delivery schedules and customer expectations
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license; experience manual transmission required
• Ability to drive route driving efficiently while maintaining safety standards
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT regulations
• Physical ability to handle freight loads and perform vehicle inspections as needed
