Job Description
Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Requirements:
- NY RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 5 years of current Emergency Department experience preferred
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- NIHSS certification
- EPIC charting experience
- Omnicell medication system experience
- Rhythm-reading competency: must pass facility proctored rhythm/EKG exam

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
- Assess and triage patients using established protocols and guidelines.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation is 24 hours.
- Must complete all HealthStream modules by the deadline.
- COVID-19 vaccine is not required, but Influenza vaccine is required by 11/1 (with exemption considerations).
- Candidates with primary residence within 50 miles will not be accepted.
