Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Kona, Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience and an active HI RN license. Details 9-bed ICU unit within a community hospital setting Primary adult ICU population; may occasionally care for stable pediatric patients (unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care) Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1, with 1:1 ratios when clinically indicated Med/surg overflow patients may be assigned, with ratios up to 3-4 patients per nurse in those cases Minimum of three nurses staffed per shift 12-hour day or night shifts available Schedule is 72 hours every two weeks May be asked to float to other departments to assist (not to take a full patient assignment) Requirements Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS Minimum of 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required Pediatric nursing experience required Additional Information Charge nurse duties may be assigned on occasion Position is located in Kona, Hawaii These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
