Mechanical Engineer
Engineering Resource Group
Permanent position for a Mechanical Engineer to create design drawings for production and sales. Work with manufacturing and quality control for product development and manufacturing. Create 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings. Design machine components and tools. Perform finite element analysis (FEA). Estimate and quote jobs including sourcing and pricing of supplier materials. Calculate estimates of material needs required for each job. Quote and gain approvals for job costs. Create Bills of Materials (BOM) in ERP System. Communicate with customers and vendors. Work with a team to develop systems for fixing design and manufacturing issues. Manage time, supplies, personnel, and budget. BS Mechanical Engineering. Experience with industrial manufacturing operations. Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software. Knowledge of welding AutoCAD symbols. Experience with cost estimation for projects and materials. Good communication skills to understand and communicate plans, thoughts, and rationale. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
