About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Business Development with a focus on Automotive OEM Logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading long-term growth in the automotive OEM space, with a specific emphasis on securing multi-year dedicated transportation contracts. This role requires a strategic and well-connected executive sales leader with a deep understanding of complex, long-cycle OEM supply chains. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in transportation and supply chain management within the automotive OEM ecosystem, a proven track record of winning high-value enterprise contracts, and an established network of procurement and supply chain contacts within OEMs and Tier-1 automotive manufacturing. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Business Development include identifying and targeting major automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, leading long-cycle contract negotiations, and driving revenue expansion along cross-border shipping corridors. The role demands a professional with exceptional business and financial acumen, capable of architecting multi-year dedicated transportation contracts and building high-value relationships across North American automotive corridors. The candidate should be adept at strategic relationship building, have a strong business awareness, and possess the necessary skills for executive leadership and partnership with the company's executive team. A Bachelor's degree is required, and the candidate should be based in Michigan, with a preference for the Metro Detroit area, and be willing to travel periodically to Canada, Mexico, and the company's headquarters.
