Registered Respiratory Therapist - Nights

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team during night shifts. In this role, you will evaluate patient outcomes, making necessary adjustments to care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families regarding respiratory disease processes and treatment interventions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient outcomes and modify care plans as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and responsible persons to ensure understanding of respiratory disease processes.
• Accept reassignment to other units when necessary.
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students, serving as a role model for best practices.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care interventions.
• Provide respiratory care as ordered by the physician while maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• Current Illinois Respiratory Care License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.

This position requires night shifts.
