Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois is seeking a is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgeon to join our growing surgical team. Position Details * Employed by Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group * Full Time Mix of Inpatient and Outpatient responsibilities * Case mix includes bread and butter general surgery operations, acute care surgery and daytime trauma coverage * Current services provided include a broad range of elective general surgery, endoscopy, as well as urgent surgery and trauma * Home call is 1/3 along with the option to take additionally compensated night and weekend shifts * 24/7 General Surgery resident coverage; academic environment affiliated with the University of Illinois with optional research opportunities * We staff a suburban level one trauma center * Opportunities to work with and teach surgery residents and medical students * Provide high-quality, patient-centered care. Qualifications * We seek a full-time general surgeon with an interest in becoming a partner in a suburban practice. * Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution. * Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program. * Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery (ABMS or AOA). * Current and unrestricted Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start). * Current DEA registration. * Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and communication skills. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $450,000-$550,000 on an annualized basis.
