We are looking for a highly skilled Junior Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their accounting career. This role is designed for someone with strong bookkeeping experience who is eager to expand into more senior-level accounting responsibilities. You will handle the day-to-day financial records for multiple clients while developing the expertise needed to transition into a Senior Accountant role within our firm.

As a Junior Accountant, your role will evolve over time. Initially, you will focus on junior accounting duties, and as you grow, you will take on more advanced responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the accounting email inbox for clients.
• Enter financial data, maintain records, and ensure accuracy in expense reports and financial statements.
• Process accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Handle payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely payments.
• Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and recording financial transactions.
• Keep detailed records of customer, vendor, and payroll data, maintaining an organized system for historic accounting records.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheets, including cash and credit card accounts.

Senior Accountant Transition Training & Growth Areas:

• Conduct and review reconciliations for bank accounts, sub-ledgers, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, and notes payable.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for Accounting Manager review, summarizing account information and trends for clients.
• Ensure compliance with document retention policies and accurate documentation of transactions.
• Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements
