Position Overview This ICU Registered Nurse position is part‑time, offering a convenient, flexible daytime schedule. The nurse will provide safe, competent care for ICU patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy and will serve as a professional leader and supporter of the healthcare team, with the Patient Centered Care concept as a foundation. Job Duties & Responsibilities Involve the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population‑specific, and diversity needs in care assessment. Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and comorbidities. Coordinate the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients; develop goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs. Consistently complete hourly rounds with purpose to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs such as pain management, repositioning, and toileting; evaluate the environment to ensure a patient‑friendly and safe setting. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. Current Nevada nursing license. Current ACLS & BLS certificates. Prefer one year of full‑time or three years of part‑time experience in an acute care setting. Handle with Care certification (or to be obtained within six months of employment).
