Occupational Therapist (FT or PT)

Location: Burnsville, NC

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team of healthcare professionals. As an OT at Smoky Ridge, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and confidence in their daily lives.

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients to identify physical, emotional, and social needs

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patient specific goals and needs

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients, including:

  • Upper extremity injury, trauma, dysfunction, and pre/post surgical rehab

  • Maximizing independence with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating

  • Training patients and families in the use of specialized equipment

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that address patient specific goals and needs

• Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient progress and treatment plans

• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy

Occupational Therapist Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

• Current licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist

• New graduates and experienced therapist welcome

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly

• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed
