A Cocktail Server is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests in a luxury hotel environment. The Server ensures that service standards are executed with precision, professionalism, and warmth while maintaining a deep knowledge of menu offerings, beverages, and hotel amenities. This role plays a critical part in creating memorable guest experiences aligned with the brand’s elevated service culture.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide attentive, personalized, and anticipatory service to all guests
• Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations.
• Take accurate orders and input them into the POS system in a timely manner.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with luxury service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned section and service stations.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Process guest payments accurately and efficiently
• Comply with all health, safety and alcohol service regulations.
• Uphold brand standards and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Collaborate with team members and provide lateral service to support overall operations.
• Follow directions from supervisors and maintain positive working relationships.
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous serving experience in a luxury or upscale dining environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of food, wine and beverage service
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and guest service orientation.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 40lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work under time pressure during peak service hours, including weekends and holidays.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Must possess a valid California Food Handler Card or be able to obtain one within the required time frame.
