Are you a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist looking to help patients regain mobility, strength, and independence? We're seeking a dedicated PT to join our hospital-based rehabilitation team in Islesboro, Maine, where you'll provide high-quality, personalized care in both inpatient and outpatient settingsempowering patients on their road to recovery.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate physical function, mobility, and strength to develop customized treatment plans for patients across a wide range of diagnoses, from surgical recovery to chronic conditions.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, mobility training, and equipment-assisted treatments to improve function and overall quality of life.
• Monitor patient outcomes, document progress, and modify treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery and safe discharge.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and fellow rehab specialists to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital setting.
• Provide patients and caregivers with guidance on home exercise programs, mobility strategies, and lifestyle modifications to maintain progress post-discharge.
• Encourage early mobility, injury prevention, and physical activity as part of every patient's rehabilitation plan.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
• New graduates encouraged to apply
• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Maine
• Specialty certification in areas like orthopedics, geriatrics, or neuro is a plus
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical rehab setting preferred
• Strong assessment, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Comfortable managing diverse caseloads in a fast-paced environment
