The role of a Propulsion Engineer at Argo involves supporting the development of water-based propulsion systems for reusable in-space transport vehicles, focusing on both chemical and electric propulsion systems. Design and analyze propulsion components and systems using computational tools and first‑principles calculations. Prototype, troubleshoot, and test propulsion hardware and systems. Qualify propulsion hardware for expected mission environments. Draft and implement build and test procedures aligned with mission risk posture. Conduct design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews with emphasis on technical excellence. Collaborate with a team of engineers on various projects related to propulsion systems. Maintain flexibility in direction under changing circumstances. Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline. Comprehensive understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Experience in electric propulsion systems and spacecraft propulsion systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 2+ years of experience designing or testing spacecraft propulsion systems. 5+ years of experience designing and testing propulsion systems in harsh environments. Familiarity with CAD and FEA software and high‑level programming languages. #J-18808-Ljbffr
