We are looking for a Forklift Operator III / CDL Driver! This role is a senior-level operator responsible for advanced material handling and transportation activities across OFD facilities and third-party locations. This role requires extensive knowledge of inbound and outbound production support and order fulfillment operations, as well as safe operation of forklifts and CDL vehicles. The position supports inter-facility logistics, ensures regulatory compliance, and plays a key role in maintaining efficient, safe, and accurate material movement across the network.

This role is 50% truck driving (not traveling, only local) and 50% forklift.


Shift

• Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00 or 7:00 AM start (4x10s)

You will get to:

• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and CDL vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and finished goods within facilities, yards, and between OFD and third-party locations.
• Load and unload trailers and trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution, secure loads, and prevention of product damage.
• Provide shuttle services for full and partial truckloads between manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and external warehouses.
• Perform daily inspections of forklifts and CDL vehicles, including brakes, tires, forks, fluids, and safety equipment, and report issues immediately.
• Scan, track, and verify product movement using ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Coordinate deliveries and pickups with warehouse, manufacturing, and logistics partners to support operational continuity.
• Comply with OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations while operating equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while modeling safe operating practices.
• Participate in safety programs, report hazards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain regular and reliable full-time attendance.
• Exhibit professional behavior with internal and external business partners in alignment with company policies and practices.
• Demonstrate OFD's cultural values and align daily actions with department and company expectations.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Generally, a minimum of six (6) years of forklift or warehouse experience; with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL or ability to obtain CDL within 60 days of hire.
• Advanced forklift operation skills across warehouse, yard, and production environments.
• Valid CDL with demonstrated knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Strong understanding of inbound and outbound logistics, order fulfillment, and material flow.
• Ability to operate independently with sound judgment in dynamic and high-responsibility environments.
• Proficiency in inventory systems, ERP tools, and scanning technology.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, accuracy, and compliance.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, carriers, and third-party partners.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining operational efficiency.

• Constantly required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment.

• Occasionally required to walk and climb stairs, and be comfortable at various heights.
• Frequently required to view objects at close and distant ranges with hand and eye coordination.

• Occasionally required to lift, move or maneuver tools, product or other items weighing up to 15 pounds.
• Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull heavier with assistance.
