Electrical & Instrumentation TechnicianSelectek has an immediate opening for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in Conyers, GA.Requirements:2+ years of experience (will consider entry level or higher level)Electrical & Instrumentation support for industrial equipmentTroubleshooting a variety of plant equipmentExperience with troubleshooting motors and valvesPhysical agilityPLC Programming experience is a plus (modifications only, no programming from scratch needed - Controllogix is used but any software is ok)Good computer skills such as Microsoft Excel is a plusMain Duties:Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of plant equipment.Read technical manuals and efficiently operate motorized equipment.Apply safety protocols and maintain compliance with plant policies.Other duties include:Troubleshooting of variable speed drives - logic changes, hardware maintenance, and on-going drive system upgrades.System maintenance and troubleshooting of PLCs including program and logic changes, hardware and software upgrades, system backups, etc.Troubleshooting and maintenance of valves. Thorough knowledge of pressure, flow, and temperature application is a must. Control valves are a plus.Perform capital project support on the Electrical and Controls side.Support of maintenance - will work with the maintenance department on all issues requiring engineering support. Call rotation is included - must be willing to be on call and have ability to reach location within an hour.Troubleshooting and system maintenance and upgrades of DCS system.
