Nursing Professional Development Practitioner Location: Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (10115), Torrington, Connecticut. This role supports learning and development within the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) program, aligning regional NPD excellence with the Hartford HealthCare system. Key Responsibilities Support learners within the context and framework of the Nursing Professional Development, Scope, and Standards practice as approved by the American Nurses Association. Collaborate with nursing leadership to foster competency management, clinical nursing education, professional role development, policy standardization, and collaborative partnerships. Engage in scientific inquiry, transition to practice support, and onboarding/orientation of new Hartford HealthCare colleagues. Promote alignment of regional NPD and practice excellence with the system as a whole. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience. At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment. Experience as a preceptor. One year of relevant teaching experience preferred, nursing professional development and/or specialty area preferred. Licensed Registered Nurse from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date. NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire. BLS required.
