Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, explaining processes with sensitivity and professionalism
- Team up effectively with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic outcomes
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, addressing any malfunctions in a timely manner
- Document procedures accurately and manage patient records within the electronic health record system
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging practices and technologies
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related discipline
- Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Certifications Required
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
