The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in land development and water resources design, including stormwater management, site grading, and erosion control.**Representative Responsibilities:*** Understand, protect and promote our empathetic, sustainable, digital, inclusive, people-focused culture in all aspects of the business by reinforcing positive workplace values and encouraging teamwork and cross-functional collaboration* Lead with empathy, strong communication, and a people-focused approach to achieve successful results for the South Area.* Assist Project Managers with technical and civil engineering design and/or provide Project Management* Perform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources: + Stormwater management design + Site grading + Erosion and sediment control design + Prepare plans for agency/municipal review + Completion of various land development and environmental permitting applications + Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors* Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand* Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer or technical designer* Maintain a high external profile through membership/attendance in industry organizations and continually growing a contact base**Qualifications:*** Servant leadership approach to the business – leading by example* Empathy and understanding while maintaining technical and client service excellence.* A team builder, encourager and willing mentor* Proven ability to build strong partnerships and relationships both internally & externally.* Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution* 6+ years of experience in land development civil-site engineering* Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D preferred* PE Preferred* Strong written and oral communication skills**Salary Range:**Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications of the candidate as it relates to the position description**Benefits:*** Flexible Work Environment* Paid Parental Leave* Medical* Dental* Vision* Life and AD&D Insurance* Short-Term and Long-Term Disability* 401(k) with Company Match* Paid Time Off + Holidays*Verdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
