Laboratory DirectorA leading acute care hospital laboratory is seeking an experienced Laboratory Director to lead operations, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role oversees laboratory operations, staff development, and strategic performance improvements while ensuring exceptional diagnostic services that support patient care.The laboratory is part of a large healthcare network providing diagnostic services to hundreds of hospitals and clinical partners. The department includes automated core testing, high-complexity diagnostics, and quality-driven operations aligned with CAP, CLIA, and other regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect laboratory operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standardsLead staffing, training, and performance management initiativesDevelop and execute operational strategies to improve service, quality, and financial performanceMonitor resource utilization and manage departmental budgetsOversee vendor relationships and supply chain efficienciesDrive continuous improvement through data analysis and operational feedbackMaintain policies, procedures, and operational best practicesFoster a culture of accountability, professional growth, and exceptional serviceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or ChemistryNational Medical Technologist certificationTN state license5+ years of laboratory management experience in complex clinical settingsHospital laboratory leadership experienceStrong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality systemsCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $95,000 – $140,000 Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 Full benefits package Days schedule – No weekends
