Dravida, a new restaurant from Chef Aarthi Sampath has opened in the East Village!
Dravida is a service-led, chef-driven restaurant focused on the Indian diaspora. The beverage program is built to support a guided dining experience, with an emphasis on big flavors, precision, consistency, and hospitality.
We’re looking for experienced bartenders who are steady, organized, and comfortable working in a structured, detail-oriented restaurant environment. This role is for someone with strong beverage knowledge, pristine execution, and the ability to support both bar guests and dining room service without losing pace.
Bartenders are expected to follow drink build sheets precisely, maintain a clean and organized bar, communicate clearly with servers and management, taking ownership of the bar from setup through close.
Requirements
- 2+ years of NYC bartending experience, preferably in high-volume, upscale, or chef-driven restaurants
- Strong beverage knowledge and consistent drink execution
- Ability to follow drink build sheets precisely
- Strong organization, cleanliness, and bar setup/breakdown standards
- Experience with Toast POS or a similar POS system
- Strong communication with servers, management, and the service team
- Reliable, punctual, and team-first approach
- Dinner availability required, including weekends
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be TIPS certified
- Must have a food safety certification, such as ServSafe or NYC Food Protection Certificate
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs as a part of bar set-up
Bonus Points For
- Experience joining a restaurant in its opening or early operating phase
- Experience with chef-driven or guided dining concepts
- Interest in South Asian flavors, spices, and regional ingredients
- Ability to assist with beverage prep, batching, inventory, and ordering support
