Registered Nurse - CVICU

$1836.00/week -

Job Summary:

Provide specialized critical care nursing for pediatric patients in the Congenital Cardiac ICU, supporting post-op recovery and complex cardiac procedures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor pediatric patients post-surgery, including inotropic and vasopressor infusions, chest tube management, and open chest care.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and treatments such as moderate sedation, ECMO, and CRRT, ensuring adherence to protocols.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech EMR system, including patient progress and interventions.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians and team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Educate and support families through their child's congenital heart journey, providing compassionate communication.
  
  
• 
  Utilize advanced equipment such as Phillips monitors, Baxter pumps, and specialty devices like Centrimag and Prismax.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of 2 years of cardiac critical care nursing experience in a pediatric setting.
  
  
• 
  Current ACLS, BLS, & PALS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency in peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and ECMO bedside management.
  
  
• 
  Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and excellent communication abilities.
  
  
• 
  Ability to adapt to high-acuity scenarios while maintaining a team-oriented approach.
  
  
• 
  Prior experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
