About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Experience in a Community Hospital required - Experience with Trauma Level II required - Epic charting system experience preferred - 7-year work history verification required - No background hits or DUIs Description: This position requires working 3 shifts of 12 hours each with alternating weekends. The department will strive to maintain the same start times each week. The patient ratio is 4:1. Daily census will be approximately 16 patients. The nursing staff will care for patients across various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and others. Skills required include management of complex conditions such as acute psychosis, drug overdose, and trauma. Nurses will manage emergency situations, administer medications, and perform necessary procedures like intubation and central line management. This role requires strong communication and teamwork to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must complete work history verification for the last 7 years upon applying. All certifications must be current and in hand at the time of application.
