Supervisory Medical Support Assistant

The Supervisory Medical Support Assistant (MSA) will be assigned to the Health Administration Service. Duties may be performed in Clinic Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), Inpatient, Call Center, Outpatient Clinic, or Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model or a Specialty Care Setting involved in a PACT model. The Supervisory MSA performs duties related to the receipt, intake, and indexing of health and administrative information. The Supervisory MSA will interface with personal computer (PC) applications as well as numerous VISTA applications. The Supervisory MSA will direct programs at medical center and/or satellite outpatient clinics and have full supervisory responsibility.

Major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assigning and evaluating the work of subordinate MSA staff.
• Resolving complex programs to ensure patient services are met.
• Evaluating new products, equipment, and systems to make recommendations for improved clinic operations.
• Identifying educations or training needs.
• Making final decisions on hiring selections.
• Evaluating performance, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-04:30PM
