Job Title: LPN (Internal Medicine) – Stirling, NJ Req #: 0000242826 | Category: LPN | Status: Full-Time | Shift: Day | Facility: Barnabas Health Medical Group | Department: Assoc in Internal Med | Location: 1072 Valley Road, Stirling, NJ 07980 | Pay Range: $29.26 - $36.32 per hour Job Overview The LPN of Associates in Internal Medicine will assist the Physician, Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician's Assistants (PA) in various aspects of medical treatment and testing. LPN maintains exam rooms and equipment. Ensures an orderly flow of patients to be seen by the Physician, NP, and PA. Functions as part of the patient care team to achieve goals for the individual patient and the clinical service. Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Qualifications Required : High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years\' experience Must be able to perform manual vitals, administer injections, and perform POC testing Certifications and Licenses Required : Licensed Practical Nurse Certification Valid NJ state licensure BLS Certification approved by the American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements : Shift working, 9:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday 1-2 Saturdays per month: 9:00am - 3:00pm. (One day off in that week when working a Saturday) Full-Time Occasional coverage in Florham Park, NJ Essential Functions Communicates with insurance providers and handles pre-authorizations and certifications as necessary Communicates with patients and other providers per the instruction of the overseeing physician or health practitioner Creates and maintains health record information, files and organizes as needed Performs clinical tasks such as blood draws, EKGs, hearing and vision screens, urinalysis, injections, vaccinations, and medication administration, treatments and minor surgeries as needed Prepares rooms, arranges instruments and equipment, and ensures a neat and sanitary environment Rooms patients, verifies patient information, confirms the purpose of the visit, obtains and records vitals and updates medical history Supports practice needs with clerical tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, lab requests, and other clerical tasks as assigned Other duties as assigned Other Things to Know: This job description outlines the core responsibilities of the role and duties may shift over time based on team needs and priorities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
