Design Coordinator

Our client, an established womenswear company, is seeking design talent with great growth potential to join its team in NYC. In this role, you will provide support to their in‑house design team in developing seasonal collections, preparing samples and maintaining organization across all aspects of design. The role provides hands‑on exposure to the full apparel development process and is an ideal starting point for emerging fashion professionals. Responsibilities Work closely with Designer on inspiration and ideas for each seasonal collection Create flat sketches by hand and with Adobe Illustrator Ability to spec and create tech packs for vendors overseas Produce CADs, recolor artwork, and prepare digital files as needed. Maintain design files, inventory materials, schedule deadlines, and support day‑to‑day design room needs. Communicate with production teams, patternmakers, merchandisers, and external vendors to ensure design accuracy and timely development. Communicate with factories overseas and domestically Assist with producing mood boards for design presentation Create line boards for line presentation Maintain the day‑to‑day filing and organization tasks Requirements / Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a must Familiarity with the development process; communicating with overseas factories and vendors Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated, with positive attitude while working with a sense of urgency Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr Fourth Floor
