Pediatric and Adolescent Center of Grand Prairie & Arlington provides primary pediatric care from newborn to eighteen years of age. Job Summaries:

Certified Medical Assistants/LVN/RN: Full Time Position ; Required Experience (3-5 Years in Medical Setting)
Under supervision of the Clinical Coordinator, our Clinical Support team members operate as part of the patient care team performing a variety of functions such as patient triage, immunizations,

1. Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or nurse practitioner
2. Assist physician and nurse practitioner in exam rooms
3. Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
4. Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or nurse practitioner
5. Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
6. Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
7. Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
8. Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants
9. Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
10. All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator

Skills Required:

1. Excellent Inter-personal and organizational skills

2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, and the public.

3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

4. Ability to learn and use an electronic medical records system and other computer applications.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum two years public health experience preferred.

2. Bi-lingual candidates a plus

3. Personal transportation and valid drivers’ license and car insurance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Involves frequent contact with patients and staff.

2. Normal office environment.

3. Work may be stressful at times.
