West Chicago Elementary School District 33 is a Pre-K through 8th grade system. There are six elementary schools, three preschool and one 6/7/8 middle school. West Chicago Elementary School District 33's population reflects the diverse demographics of West Chicago and portions of Winfield and Wheaton, from which it draws its student enrollment. The overall student population is 4,530. Of that number, approximately 80.1% of the students come from Hispanic origins, 13.8% White, 2.5% Asian/Pacific Islander and 2.6% Black.

To assist the administrator in organizing effective and efficient systems which enables the administrator to focus on activities leading to the achievement of departmental and district goals.

1. Enrolls employees in district benefit plans i.e. health, dental, vision, life, etc. and processes all employee benefits paperwork. Updates all employee benefit deductions in a timely manner for payroll. Processes employees leaving the district i.e. updating employee benefit deductions and providing COBRA paperwork.

2. Organizes a functional filing system in the Business department.

3. Processes purchase orders for payment.

4. Inputs accounts payables information through district database (Skyward) in a timely manner. Provides monthly bill listing report to Director of Business and Operations for monthly Board of Education packet.

5. Prepares and submits annual employee benefits compliance report to IRS per the Affordable Care Act.

6. Participates in professional development opportunities.

7. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by the administration.

High School Diploma or equivalent. A reasonable degree of proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Docs. Familiarity with Skyward financial software preferred. A working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of common office equipment and machines i.e. computer, copy machine, printer. Experience in performance responsibility areas preferred. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others in the course of the workday. Ability to use email and office equipment effectively. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform basic arithmetic operations as needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and adapt in response to changing conditions. Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

The position will be evaluated at least once annually, by the last employment day in April by the Director of Business and Operations.
