Job Description Role : Workday Integration Consultant Location : Hybrid in Arden Hills, MN Duration : 6 months Rate : $35-$45/hour W2, dependent on skills and qualifications Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Consultant to support a dynamic HR Technology team within a complex Workday environment. This contract role will focus on a combination of integration project delivery, system enhancement initiatives, and ongoing production support. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Workday integrations, with the ability to quickly understand an existing environment, provide technical recommendations, and contribute immediately. This position requires a highly collaborative professional who can balance new development work with ongoing operational support while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and technical team members. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, implement, and support Workday integrations across the enterprise ecosystem. Build and maintain both inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and external systems. Develop and maintain Workday reports, including Advanced Reports to support business and technical requirements. Analyze integration requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Support ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing integrations and reporting solutions. Participate in project-based integration initiatives while ensuring production support responsibilities are met. Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Evaluate existing integrations and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Provide technical guidance and recommendations related to Workday integration architecture and best practices. Support testing, deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution activities across the Workday ecosystem. Required Qualifications Strong hands-on Workday integration experience. Experience developing and supporting both inbound and outbound Workday integrations. Strong knowledge of Workday reporting and reporting frameworks. Advanced Report Writing experience. Experience using Workday integration and development tools. Solid understanding of the overall Workday integration ecosystem. Ability to manage both project-based development initiatives and ongoing maintenance/support activities. Proven ability to quickly learn and contribute within an established Workday environment. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Experience collaborating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Workday Studio. Experience with Workday Extend. Experience with Workday Orchestrate. Broad understanding of Workday's integration and development toolset. Experience supporting enterprise-level HR technology environments. Experience providing technical leadership and influencing solution direction. Ideal Candidate Profile Have significant hands‑on experience building, enhancing, and supporting Workday integrations. Be comfortable working across both inbound and outbound integration requirements. Possess strong technical expertise in Workday reporting and integration development. Quickly assess and understand existing Workday environments with minimal ramp‑up time. Effectively balance new project work with ongoing production support responsibilities. Collaborate well within a small, highly engaged team environment. Proactively offer ideas, recommendations, and technical improvements. Demonstrate the ability to influence technical decisions while maintaining a collaborative approach. Take ownership of deliverables and drive work independently when needed.
