Applications Engineer

Applications Engineer We are looking for a Applications Engineer to join our busy Technical Services department. The role would suit someone looking to build upon their knowledge of the principals of high voltage insulation testing, gain professional qualifications and work on technically interesting equipment. We offer excellent training plans to ensure everyone is working to the highest of standards. Role and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Applications Engineer for on-line and offline high voltage testing Providing applied engineering and technical support/advice for worldwide customers and colleagues Executing and leading insulation condition test projects for MV and HV assets using on-line and offline techniques Interpreting specifications and customer's technical requirements/enquiries Producing, reviewing and approving test reports Producing test procedures, liaising with customers to plant test schedules Knowledge dissemination for high voltage testing within test services team Maintenance of offline test equipment Mentorship and training of junior engineers and/or technicians All staff are expected to work to company procedures at all times. Training & Support Full training on our products and services will be provided. Opportunity to gain external certifications. Qualifications Experience performing on-line partial discharge testing and analysis for rotating machines and other high voltage assets. Relevant degree (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent qualifications and/or experience. Technical report writing skills. Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise and plan effectively. Excellent team‑working and people skills. Flexible working & working from home.
