What you'll be doing day to day Safely operate yard trucks to move loading units to and from docks, including connecting/disconnecting airlines and stabilizing trailers. Maintain clear and consistent radio and/or system communication with Flow & Traffic teams to coordinate and verify loading unit movements. Secure an efficient daily operation by following established routines, identifying improvement opportunities, and acting on them. Perform accurate yard inventory checks and safety audits to ensure all equipment, trailers, and areas meet operational standards. Identify, correct when possible, and properly report any damages to loading units or equipment. Adhere to all supply chain security protocols and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance throughout the yard and dock areas. Ensure all required data and paperwork in Yard Management systems are completed accurately and on time. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders to support the smooth flow of goods and yard operations. Collaborate with operations teams to support goal achievement and contribute to overall operational excellence. Commit to and uphold all IKEA health, safety, and security standards within the yard and dock environment. Ensure all visiting and onsite drivers understand and comply with site rules, regulations, safety procedures, and protocols. Ability to operate a yard truck with a high comfort level of backing and reverse. Strong communication skills. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs./30kgs ergonomically. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
