Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit serving midwifery clients, private OB patients, and community care populations
• Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery, including newborn assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K (thighs) injections, continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum — hard stop requirement
• Circulate in the OR — hard stop requirement ; unit includes 4 operating rooms
• Administer and monitor high-acuity medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Utilize EPIC and electronic fetal monitoring — both are hard stop requirements
• Float as needed to Postpartum and Antepartum, including potential float to sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby; staffing follows AWHONN guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• High-risk L&D experience required; must be able to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered local; local candidates are accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• AWHONN Advanced or AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Experience supporting patients in substance recovery or community care clinic settings
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
