Registered Nurse - Internal Medicine

Resolution Think LLC, through its joint venture partnership, Cognito Systems, LLC, is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) candidates, skilled in Internal Medicine for positions at Ft Hood medical center. These roles will support high‑quality patient care across multispecialty clinical settings by assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, coordinating referrals, assisting with procedures, and documenting care accurately in the electronic health record. The ideal candidate will bring recent hands‑on nursing experience, sound clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, providers, and multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should be comfortable working flexible shifts based on mission needs, including possible days, evenings, nights, weekends, training holidays, and federal holidays. Location Carl R Darnall Army Medical Center; Fort Hood, TX Schedule Shift will occur between 5:30a-10:30p; Sunday–Saturday. Shifts typically scheduled for 12hr but can be up to 16hr. Benefits 80 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) + 56 hours of Sick Leave annually 11 Paid Federal Holidays per year Tuition Reimbursement and Professional Development Support 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Voluntary Benefit Options through MetLife Pet Insurance Discounts Employee Discount Program through LifeMart Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Core Duties Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF Perform physical exam and health histories Provide health promotions, counseling, and education Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes Perform independent, comprehensive telephone, clinical triaging, and facilitate care throughout multidisciplinary locations Act as relief nurse, triage, and screen walk‑in patients to assess the severity of the patient’s condition and need for provider intervention Screen patient charts to assess medical history to determine health care needs Execute and/or ensure the completion of orders from health care providers Recognize and report abnormal test results, changes in symptoms, and the need for follow‑up Record required data in patient charts Assist health care providers with examinations and procedures Responsible for educating patients for high risk, painful, or stressful procedures with education and support Monitor or ensure the monitoring of patients pre, during, and post procedures per CRDAMC MTF guidelines Demonstrate and instruct patients on the proper administration of self‑medicated prescriptions Educate patients and ensure distributed instructions are understood for maintenance of health and self‑care. Provide clinic one‑on‑one patient orientation and educational activities related to acute and/or chronic illnesses, self‑care, wellness and/or preventive health measures, normal development, and physiology Assist patients’ compliance with medical treatment plans telephonically or through in‑person clinic visits Identify self as a contract worker, coordinate patient referrals to a variety of health care services to include, but not limited to, community health nurse, health promotion center, social work service, dietician, clinical nurse specialist, chaplain, and other ancillary services as directed by attending physician Minimum Qualifications US Citizenship required Education: Associates Degree of Nursing or higher from an ACEN or CCNE accredited educational program Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse Experience: Possess one (1) year of clinical or inpatient experience, post‑education/graduation and post‑licensure within the last two (2) years Certifications: ACLS, BLS Physical Demands/Additional Information Must complete TB Test Subject to a background/security investigation Willingness to comply with DHA vaccination requirements Willingness to complete a physical examination Pre‑employment drug screening Required to wear PPE during performance of services Walking, long periods of standing, stretching, crouching, bending, stooping, lifting to 50 lbs, lifting over 50 lbs with assistance EEO Statement We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Disability/Vets Employer.
