Warehouse Coordinator 2 Non-ExemptReports To: Director of Warehouse OperationsSalary Range: $20.00 - $25.50/Hour DOEBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, & Simple IRAJob Summary: Responsible for order pulling for agencies, staging orders for distribution, receiving and handling inventory in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, standards and program guidelines.Principal Responsibilities:Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to staging or shipping areas, including all program ordersReceive picklist for pulling orders.Utilize Barcoding, Pallet Tags, Locations and Ceres for all orders and Inventory ItemsMoves, counts, sorts, prepares and places food and related product on racks, shelves, or in bin and boxes according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color or product code, including comparison of bills of lading, inspection of product as it is received, and generation of pallet tagsResponsible for Warehouse Movements within system and inventoryBackup for frozen and perishable items for delivery orders, marks appropriate Agency on Pallets, staging for delivery.Backup for Volunteer CoordinatorsBackup for Inventory CoordinatorWorks with the Maintenance Coordinator.Responsible for maintaining all warehouse space, using locations, barcoding, pick and pull slots and keeping clean and clear using FIFO prioritization.Moves and arranges stock as assigned.Reads and understands production schedules, orders, work orders, shipping or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributedPerforms related duties as required or assigned; assists other departments as requested; may work evenings and weekends, as neededCompletes forms, reports, and logs as required, including generation and issue of weekly offerings lists and monthly donor receiptsPrints replacement pallet tags as required for inventoryMaintains positive customer relationships with donors, partner agencies, volunteersAssists volunteers, when appropriate; determines volunteer projects in conjunction with volunteer coordinatorEnsures that all stock and inventory items are maintained in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, standards and program guidelines – executes physical counts of inventory for all Quarterly Inventory.Ensures the proper maintenance and recording of inventory levels for food and nonfood items, work in coordination with Procurement Specialist on inventory levels.Handles food according to safe food handling practicesMaintains and safely operates all trucks and warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks; operates scales to weigh inventory itemsAssists in the maintenance and care of the facility and equipment; assists in the safety and sanitation of facilities and equipment through compliance with The Food Depot guidelines and any applicable local, state or federal laws or regulationsObserves all local, state, and federal regulations in warehouse operations and vehicle transportContributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interestsComplies with all The Food Depot policies, procedures and systemsIs consistently at work and on timeUses and works with Inventory System Ceres for completion of ordersPerforms Inventory upon request of inventory itemsUses Barcode Readers for Order pulling and pallet buildingQualifications:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experienceDemonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of The Food DepotAbility to read and comprehend packing slips and ordersAbility to effectively communicate problems and issuesAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide, basic understanding of weights and measuresMust be computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, inventory database experience a mustCommitment to accuracy and thoroughnessEmployment Requirements:Negative Pre-employment Drug ScreeningClean Driving Record – New Mexico Driver's LicenseSuccessful Completion of Forklift Training provided by The Food DepotPhysical Environment:Primary work is in a warehouse environmentMust be able to get into a forklift and operate all of the controlsEmployee can be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperaturesThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsThe employee must be able to load and unload items into and out of truckThe employee must be able to operate forklift and pallet jacksThe employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical partsThe noise level in the work environment is usually loudDisclaimer:This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position.
