School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Binghamton, New York

Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Previous experience within a school setting preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Ability to adapt therapy plans to individual student needs and educational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for a diverse student population.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on formal assessments and team input.
• Maintain thorough records of student progress, attendance, and required reporting.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as needed.
• Utilize the support of an onsite facilitator to enhance service delivery and problem-solving.
