Join us and make an impact on patient care through innovation and compassionate support!If you want to be part of a growing organization committed to **healing, hope, and advanced care**, join us and help make a meaningful impact!**Job Description:**Job Description# **Registered Nurse (RN)- Interventional Radiology Intake****Location: New Hyde Park****Hours/Days: 4/10 Hour Shifts; Mon,Tue,Thu,&Fri (Between 7-7) (RDO Wed)****Organization: New York Imaging (NYI)**## **In This Role, You Will:*** **Start and Maintain IV’s for Radiology procedures including but not limited to CT scans and PET/CT scans.*** **Monitor and chart vital signs, weight and height*** **Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.*** **Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients.*** **Provide supportive resources for the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook.*** **Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.*** **Watch and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis.*** **Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.*** **Complete MAR after treatment.*** **Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care.**## **We Require:*** **Valid New York State RN License*** **Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.*** **Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.*** **Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)*** **Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching*** **Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids*** **Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.*** **Reliable transportation to travel to NYI locations for patient care needs**## **What We Offer:*** **Salary: Starting at $50/hr*** **Benefits: Health Insurance on day 1, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-term disability, 401k Plan, Paid Time Off (PTO), 8 paid holidays (2 floating)****Join us at NYI, where we are making strides in healthcare through innovative and compassionate care.
