G.E.H.A (Government Employees Health Association, Inc.) is a nonprofit member association that provides medical and dental benefits to federal employees, retirees, military retirees and their families. What You’ll Do Represent GEHA at local health fairs and wellness events. Educate federal employees and retirees about GEHA’s medical and dental plans. Become a go-to resource in your community. Share educational materials, answer questions, and help make health benefits easier to understand. Travel locally and receive reimbursement for mileage and time paid for your participation. What Makes You a Great Fit Friendly and approachable with a natural ability to connect. Confident presenting in both casual and formal settings. Curious and willing to learn about health insurance and GEHA’s offerings. Organized, responsive, and comfortable working independently. Comfortable using basic tech tools such as email, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce. Job Details Part‑time independent contractor role. Remote‑first, field‑based when attending in‑person events. Travel expenses reimbursed. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to transportation. Must be able to lift 30 lbs and pass background clearance to enter federal facilities. Internet and workspace requirements apply for remote work (reliable high‑speed connection, private workspace). Remote Work Requirements Must provide a non‑cellular high‑speed internet service such as fiber, DSL, or cable modem for a home office. Minimum standard speed for optimal performance is 30 Mbps download by 5 Mbps upload. Latency (ping) response time must be lower than 80 ms. Hotspots, satellite, and wireless internet services are not allowed. A dedicated space that is free from ongoing interruptions is required to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
