Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor patients' cardiac status using telemetry and other relevant equipment.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, including narcotics, and manage cardiac drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, and nitroglycerin.
  
  
• 
  Interpret cardiac rhythms and perform routine assessments every four hours.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately in the Meditech electronic medical record system.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate issues as necessary.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in reading cardiac monitors and managing cardiac emergency procedures.
  
  
• 
  Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong critical thinking, teamwork, and compassionate communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Experience in telemetry, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), valve replacements, or similar cardiac procedures preferred.
  
  
• 
  Able to work flexible hours including every other weekend and overtime if required.
