Part-time - Early Childhood Education Teachers Aide - Saint Andrew School - Chicago - Vicariate II The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools serve more than 40,000 students in 154 elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties. Saint Andrew School, located in Chicago's Lakeview/Roscoe Village neighborhood, is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Education Aide to support our early childhood program. The aide will work closely with classroom teachers to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for our youngest students. Assist the classroom teacher with daily routines, activities, and transitions. Provide attentive supervision and support to young children throughout the school day. Assist students with age-appropriate personal care and classroom needs. Help prepare materials and learning activities. Support a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Encourage positive social interactions and age-appropriate independence. Assist with arrival, dismissal, lunch/snack, rest time, and other daily routines as needed. Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members. Communicate respectfully and professionally with students, families, and staff. Follow all school policies and procedures related to student safety, supervision, and confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration. Qualifications Previous experience working with young children preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work positively and collaboratively as part of a team. Patient, nurturing, dependable, and responsible. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a calm and positive environment for young children.
