Equipment OperatorEssential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.The Equipment Operator will work our dump yard, and they must be experienced in operating dozers, excavation around existing utilities and live gas lines, operating 300 series Track hoe excavators and backhoes and be required to obtain Atmos OQ's, required to carry a fuel tank in their truck for filling equipment, must meet company requirements to receive truck stipend.Roles and Responsibilities:Operate equipment such as Dozer's, Excavator & Backhoes and other machinery as assigned.Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checksLoad, unload, and transport materials safely and efficientlyAssist with site preparation and yard cleanups.Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and safety issuesReport equipment malfunctions, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediatelySuccess Factors:Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructionAbility to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workerAbility to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policyEnglish usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reportsSkills in operating heavy equipment and machines proficiently and safelyAbility to communicate effectively in a team environmentExperience and Education:1+ years of experience operating dozers, excavator and backhoesStandard Driver License RequiredMust be able to work in adverse weather conditionsNotes: The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.
