Mid-Level Program Manager Job Title: Mid-Level Program Manager – Contractor – Level: Mid‑Level – Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts or New York City, New York – Workplace: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite) – Duration: ASAP to June 30, 2024 with strong potential for extension. Role Summary: As a Mid‑Level Program Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the successful delivery of various community initiatives and programs within the Microsoft Research community, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to strategize, plan and execute programs, conferences and workshops, while fostering a positive and high‑performing community culture. Responsibilities Own the strategizing, planning and budgeting for Microsoft Research community initiatives and programs. Collaborate with research stakeholders to align program objectives with business priorities. Leverage available technologies to advise and guide the delivery of impactful program outcomes. Build and execute community engagement programs to support organizational priorities and recruitment initiatives. Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications MUST-Have Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Affairs, Business or a related field. 5–6 years of experience in program, event and stakeholder management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical curiosity to understand and discuss technical concepts. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple work streams.
