Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: Full-Time Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: One year of nursing experience required License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Identifies and meets personal learning needs and attends relevant education programs. Uses patient education materials and assesses readiness to learn. Identifies patient outcomes and revises care plans as needed. Collaborates with the team to evaluate care and ensure continuity. Provides safe, competent care for patients with complex needs. Performs point-of-care testing and follows standards and policies. Organizes and prioritizes care; consults resources for complex issues. Sets and achieves professional growth goals while supporting unit objectives. Communicates effectively and gives feedback to coworkers. Promotes safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care. Assesses patient needs, anticipates discharge, and supports family advocacy. Plans care collaboratively, using multidisciplinary resources and cultural awareness. Stays informed through journals and shares ideas for practice improvement.
