Seeking Landscape Architect for Sketchup and Lumion Renders of Botanical Garden Food Structures

Our vision is to usher in a new age of cooperation, collaboration, and sustainability. We do this by demonstrating what’s possible, open sourcing and free‑sharing the blueprints, and making modular or total duplication easy enough, affordable enough, and attractive enough so that positive and sustainable world‑change will spread on its own. One Community is a nonprofit all‑volunteer sustainability think tank. Our volunteer team fluctuates between 100 and 200 team members and has included over 2000 volunteers representing more than 60 different countries. We create open source sustainability‑focused components covering food, energy, housing, education, and more. Read the specifics of how and why here We are seeking a Landscape Architect to complete the internal landscaping plans and Lumion renders for our food production structures. Here is a look at our plans for these structures so far Skill Requirements Bachelor of Landscape Architecture or equivalent (or near completion) AutoCAD experience and access is required Experience in both internal and external landscape design and rendering Lumion software access and experience required Computer capable of running large and complex video renders Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Able to effectively document work and communicate in a remote work setting Comfortable with or willing to learn Google Docs and Dropbox for collaboration Willing to commit at least 10 weekly hours for at least 2 months (remote work) The Task We are seeking a Landscape Architect to finish the internal and external designs and Lumion renders for our aquapini and walipinis. These sustainable, in‑ground structures aim to produce a variety of nutritious food for large groups of people.
