Director, Market Access Pricing and Strategy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Market Access Pricing and Strategy based in United States. This role will lead U. S. pricing and market access strategy in preparation for the commercial launch of a lead oncology asset. Reporting to senior Market Access leadership, you’ll shape pricing, contracting, reimbursement, and payer value strategies based on market evidence and competitive insights. You’ll work closely with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Legal, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure pricing and access decisions reflect clinical and economic value. The position also serves as a key internal subject-matter expert on complex reimbursement and healthcare policy topics. You’ll help translate payer insights and policy developments into actionable commercial strategies. As the function grows, you’ll also have opportunities to develop talent and contribute to building the broader pricing and access organization. Accountabilities: - Lead the development and execution of the U. S. market access strategy for the lead asset, including payer engagement, reimbursement coverage, and access support. - Develop U. S. pricing and contracting strategies informed by payer research, competitive dynamics, value assessments, and reimbursement considerations. - Shape a differentiated payer value proposition and identify the evidence required to demonstrate clinical, economic, and patient value. - Partner with Medical Affairs and HEOR to ensure evidence-generation plans address payer requirements and market access needs. - Develop and execute payer research and engagement strategies across national and regional health plans, PBMs, pathway organizations, and other relevant stakeholders. - Translate payer and stakeholder insights into actionable recommendations that inform pricing, access, and launch strategies. - Monitor federal and state healthcare policy developments and assess their potential impact on U. S.

pricing and market access initiatives. - Develop internal education and guidance materials to help cross-functional teams understand relevant healthcare policy and reimbursement developments. - Serve as a primary subject-matter expert on ASP, J-Code, pass-through, buy-and-bill, reimbursement, and IRA topics, providing strategic guidance across the organization. - Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align pricing, reimbursement, evidence, and commercial strategies around the full value of the product. - Monitor the competitive landscape to anticipate market challenges, identify emerging opportunities, and refine strategic priorities. - As the function expands, help build, mentor, and manage pricing and market access talent while providing clear direction and development opportunities. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an MBA, PharmD, or other advanced degree is preferred. - 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years focused on pricing, market access, or reimbursement. - Demonstrated oncology launch strategy experience across at least 5 U. S. product launches. - Strong understanding of U. S. healthcare market access, pricing, reimbursement, and payer dynamics. - Working knowledge of ASP, J-Code, pass-through, buy-and-bill, reimbursement, and IRA-related considerations. - Background in U. S. healthcare government relations is preferred. - Proven ability to collaborate with, influence, and educate cross-functional stakeholders across an organization. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex market information and translate insights into practical recommendations. - Executive presence, strong accountability, and sound strategic judgment. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
