Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurse position is available in a healthcare facility. This role involves caring for postoperative cardiac surgery patients, including those who have undergone procedures such as CABG, MVR, and AVR, as well as managing complex post-op conditions like hemodynamic instability and ECMO management. The position requires immediate availability and offers a 13-week contract starting October 5, 2026, with rotating shifts primarily during daytime hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Rotating shifts primarily from 11:00 to 23:30, with additional day and night shifts based on unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: Must possess an active MD or Compact state RN license, BLS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. No minimum years of experience required beyond 0.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with charge nurse responsibilities, familiarity with Epic electronic charting system, and community hospital or trauma level II experience preferred.
• Additional Information: This role involves direct care of open heart patients immediately post-operation, managing multiple vasoactive medications, invasive hemodynamic procedures, and utilizing specialized equipment such as ECMO, Impella, and CRRT. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other ICU units as needed and work scheduled on every third weekend and as scheduled for holidays. On-call responsibilities are required for 24-36 hours per rotating schedule.
