Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Kearney, NE

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | Minimum of 2 holidays within contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 40-bed PCU setting with an average daily census of 24, maintaining a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and titrate IV drips including Heparin, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently, including reading and documenting cardiac rhythms
• Care for a diverse adult patient population including cardiac med/surg, dialysis, oncology, vascular, sepsis, stroke, post-stent, post-pacer placement, renal failure, and adult respiratory patients
• Operate and troubleshoot high-flow oxygen equipment; demonstrate competency with arterial lines
• Float as needed to Med/Surg or ICU (for PCU-acuity patients); adhere to on-call requirements with a 30-minute callback response time

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated competency with arterial lines
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips
• Proficiency titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Artificial nails are prohibited; compliance with facility nail policy is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting
• Experience caring for culturally diverse patient populations
• Familiarity with high-flow oxygen therapy and related respiratory equipment
• Strong communication skills and ability to receive and incorporate feedback in a fast-paced environment
