About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN NICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Level II-III NICU experience Description: This position is for a Travel RN NICU. The unit has 41 beds and a staffing level of 60. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse and over 9 registered nurses. Night shift also includes 1 charge nurse and over 9 registered nurses. The patient ratios are 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and rarely 1:4. Equipment utilized includes HFOV, central lines, conventional vents, CPAP, NIPPV, and ostomy care. Electronic medical records systems used are CPN and Meditech. Typical procedures performed include surgery (except heads and hearts), respiratory support, and micro-premie care. Ideal candidates should be teamwork oriented. Candidates without the required NICU experience will not be considered. Experience in Level III-IV NICU is preferred. There are 4 weekend shifts scheduled per 4-week rotation. No on-call shifts are required.
