About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 5 years required, trauma level I experience is mandatory License: Must have license in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS, CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: - Trauma Level I experience required - Required certifications must be in hand to submit Description: Daily average surgical case volume is 65. The facility specializes in total joints, neuro spine, neuro cranial surgeries, open heart procedures, lung and heart transplants, Da Vinci surgeries, plastics, and ENT. Travel experience is required. Candidates must float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Candidates will work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Two supervisor references are required. All travelers must adhere to the designated break policies prior to applying for the position. Floating is required of all travelers. Certifications required include BLS and either CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA. Required skills include knowledge of sterilization procedures, cleaning equipment, and processing various types of surgical instruments and endoscopes. This is a Level 1 trauma center. The role demands effective collaboration within an academic health center setting.
