Maintenance Tech

Overview Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician to join our Phoenix team. Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm Compensation: starting at $29.00/hr Responsibilities Repair mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within a manufacturing environment; execute capital projects (installation, dismantling of equipment) and other various maintenance tasks throughout the facility. Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect issues. Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of findings. Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production needs. Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or similar equipment. Record production, repair, and machine maintenance data. Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair. Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operation. Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage using cranes, hoists, or dollies. Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse to maintain machinery and the work area. Clean machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment. Other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Education – High School diploma or GED 1–2 years of related maintenance experience Prior experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler maintenance preferred Mechanical background with rotating hydraulic and pneumatic systems; electrical/mechanical troubleshooting Knowledge of measuring gauges (e.g., tape measures) and various hand and power tools Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and communicate effectively Strong problem-solving skills and basic math, reading, and writing abilities Must be able to lift 50 lbs Ability to work under pressure to complete tasks Proficiency with hand and portable tools, gas and arc welding, forklift, pickup truck, testing equipment, tape measure, and computer (shop floor and ERP) Working Conditions Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient/outdoor temperatures, dust, mechanical parts, pinch points, and increased noise levels Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical, and chemical substances/equipment Confined workspaces What We Offer Benefits from day one Paid sick leave and vacation Volunteer time off 11 paid holidays 401K with company match Medical, Dental and Vision (eligible day one) Stock options Company-paid life insurance and disability Tuition reimbursement Ongoing training & growth opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr
