PM Mechanic Tech (Entry Level)

Job Overview This position focuses on plant maintenance, ensuring machinery and equipment are operational, safe, and efficient. Responsibilities Troubleshoot all plant maintenance issues during shift Provide timely repairs, upkeep, and preventive maintenance Secure repair parts inventory and maintain adequate stock levels Use the MRO system to remove and return parts from inventory Make recommendations for equipment improvements Assist with setups, start‑ups, and qualifications Strive for continuous improvement of equipment Serve as an example for housekeeping and safety standards Ensure scheduled PMs are performed and recorded per service work order Enter all work order requests into automated tracking system Maintain accurate recordkeeping and reporting of work order information Troubleshoot molding process adjustments to produce quality parts Answer alarms on machines and perform mold setup and removal Maintain mold and machine components Interact with Production Management, Human Resources, Quality Control, Warehouse, and Tool Room Provide guidance and leadership to peers and production personnel Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications 3–5 years experience in high‑speed assembly production environment as a maintenance mechanic Experience in industrial maintenance with skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems Strong mechanical aptitude; demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting and repair Proficiency with work order tracking systems, MRO system, and automated scanning equipment Ability to verify air pressures, water temperature, and water pressure and to detect leaks in molds, nozzles, hydraulic lines, and rotary seals Working knowledge of material load system and troubleshooting load system problems Forklift certification and ability to operate a forklift safely in accordance with OSHA standards Ability to work safely and follow GMP procedures, safety rules, and emergency response protocols Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work in a production environment recognizing various sounds and alarms Capacity to multi‑task, monitor machine output quality, and follow department procedures and directives Background check clearance and drug test pass required Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment Preferred Requirements Associate’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective presentation methods and skills Resourceful and strategic thinking ability Benefits Medical, dental, and vision plans Paid time off starting at 40 hours per year for full‑time hourly employees Company‑paid holidays starting at 8 days per year Well‑being programs & Employee Assistance Program Health Savings Account / Flexible Spending Account Life insurance, AD&D, short‑term & long‑term disability, and voluntary benefits Paid parental leave Retirement savings plan with company match Tuition reimbursement (dependent upon approval) Discretionary bonus program (initial eligibility dependent upon hire date) Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
