Flightline Operations Manager

Flightline Operations Manager - Level K (Boeing Commercial Airplanes) Location: Renton, WA. Shift: Available for Shift 1 or Shift 2, determined at the time of offer. This position requires a combination of business, leadership, and people skills to inspire a safe work environment and exceptional performance, develop and execute business plans, policies, and procedures. Candidates must develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, cross‑functional support, and direct reports. Position Responsibilities Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery. Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing environment. 3+ years of experience working in a cross‑functional environment. Possess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman’s certificate. Ability to work variable shifts including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) or have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.” Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of flightline operations experience. 3+ years of experience working with live customers. 3+ years of experience with quality assurance, troubleshooting, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures. 3+ years of proficiency using CMES.
